Decal image placement problem

I am having a problem placing a image on a circular face over a hole. Image placement tool will move around the center point but will not place the image over the center hole. I've set a sketch point as suggested in the forum, but dosen't help.

This is a known issue for a long time. Reported internally as FUS-12655. I wanted to make skate wheels with decal graphics like this:

There is another effect reported as a related bug. If you place the decal and later make the hole in the middle, it moves the decal. So it's truly impossible.

Looks like this problem is still not solved. I'm facing the same problem with a decal on a surface with a hole in the middle.

Hi,

Yes you are correct. This is due to how Fusion handles decals. The current way will never allow a hole. We would need to implement a second decal command (or option) that would utilize a method similar to what Inventor uses.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

The only advice I can give you today is to post an idea on the idea station. It may be a very popular idea. Fusion has implemented hundreds of these ideas.

Thank you for your answer and your time. It surprises me that this isn't fixed yet after 2 or 3 years. For me it looks like a bug and this tool is frustrating or even useless in a lot of cases.

I hope this is fixed soon.

Well easy fix for us users might be an option to render also canvas instead of only decals/stickers?

Canvas is renderable now. But canvas cannot be clipped at edges like a decal can.
