Combining Step files

I am trying to combine step files, but didn't get it properly.

The following is the procedure done by me for combining step files.

Created a new file.
Inserted all the step files by right clicking the step file and selected the option "Insert into Current Design".
The step files are successfully inserted into the new file, after that I selected the Combine option and tried to selecting all the bodies but remains unselect able.
Then I Googled it, I got an option "Derive".
I selected the Derive option and selected all the (3) bodies and clicked OK button.
All the bodies will be created in another new file after that, I tried to combine the bodies but resulting the following error.

Error: There was a problem combining geometry together.
If attempting a Join/Cut/Intersect, try to ensure that the bodies have a clear overlap (problems can occur where faces and edges are nearly coincident).
Failed to Boolean bodies together

All the bodies are exactly coinciding each other, but I don't know why this happens like this.

would be interested in seeing the original files to see how you achieved this. did you , per chance, use the the "move" tool?

are the top and bottom bracket identical to each other? one is just flipped upside down and on the bottom?

way faster for us if you attach a single model instead of three separate ones. export the one you used in the first gif as an .f3z and attach that.

IF the geometry is good then breaking the links as suggested by @g-andresen will work.

if you don't want to break the links (so that edits to the original models will be reflected in this one), you can use boundary fill instead and turn off visibility to the linked components after.

will check geometry later when I have a moment
