How do I turn on grid in sketch mode.

I have no grid in sketch mode because I turned it off a week ago. How do I get it back? The screen shot shows the option is grayed out. It's a bug right? or am I missing something?

You need to do it from sketch mode. Edit a sketch, then check the grid box in the sketch panel. The option in your picture is for the "layout grid", which is managed separately from the sketch grid.

The sketch pallet will automatically appear when you create or edit a sketch.
