Thread does not mirror

Trying to creatre a shaft, add required detail to end, then mirror to have other end look the same.

If I add thread on the shaft body, the mirror does not include the thread.

How do I get thread added to a body to show up in the mirror side?

Hello,

You may be able to select pattern type "Pattern Features" when you create Mirror feature. It works well in my machine.

Somethign weird with mirroring thread.

This morning when I opened my test project, the thread was mirrored, but not really mirrorer, jsut repeated, see pic.

As soon as I start editing anything, the mirrored thread dissapears.

When I try to change the mirror option to select faces, nothing wants to select?

I.e. I edit the mirror command in history, change from object to faces, and the neither the body nor the thread wants to select.

Hello,

Please try to change "Compute Option" when edit the mirror feature and see if it works or not? If not, it might be a dataset specific issue. It would be good if you can share design to me(marshal.tu@autodesk.com) or invite me to your project.

Thank you for the invitation. I can reproduce the issue and have logged it in our bug system(FUS-20923).

The workaround for you would be to pattern the body firstly and create thread in mirrored body. Sorry for inconvenience.

One thing to think about, if you mirror a thread are you expecting the result of the mirror to be a left hand thread. If you mirror a modeled thread the mirrored part is left handed which is the correct result.
