Custom Size Sheet Drawing

Hello,

Could I custom the size sheet of my drawing?

My drawing is around 1350mm*400mm.

The max size is A0 and I need to print my drawing at the real size.

How could I do?

Anto, i don't believe that functionality is currently supported. Sheet Settings can be found at the bottom center of the Canvas, but you can only change the A sheet sizes. About the only thing you can do is scale the DWG or DXF if one of the A sizes has the same aspect ratio as your final size, which it isn't. I don't know of any sheet size standards that match yours. Is it a standard?

Thanks for answering. The size that I need is not standard. I need a sheet of 1350 mm * 400 mm... I don t want to use a scale as i want to print my drawing with the real size.

@Anonymous, @MattPerez314 is right about this, currently Fusion 360 Drawing doesn't support sheet size custimization. One workaround is output the DWG file and then use AutoCAD to modify the sheet size and print out format such as PDF. I understnad using an more application makes the whole workflow not that smooth, please let me know if you need any support, such as help generate a PDF with the size your need for one specified drawing. Thanks for sharing with us!

Same issue here except in my case it's a "semi -standard" paper size. The printer we have uses some "super B" paper which are between B and C size...

I ran into this issue too, i want to print 1:1 scale on a plotter and model is larger than all current formats. I found a request over in IdeaStation requesting ability to create custom paper sizes. Add your votes to support the interest.

Hi, I have spent a day or two playing with this software to see if it is a credible alternative to SW. For the following reasons I cannot use it:

You cannot create configurations of parts in one file, allowing the use of different configurations in different models.
You cannot use a component that is generated in a model (assembly) in other assemblies without cutting the ties between the instances, i.e. you cannot make changes to a component in assembly A1 and have the same part in A2 receive the updates to the component.
You cannot export drawings of parts in 1:1 that are bigger than A0! This seems like madness, I build furniture from my models (real human sized furniture) and table tops for instance cannot be restricted to A0 for DXF export.
Where is the DXF export, is it just DWG?

Very disappointing really, perhaps I'm missing something?

So I have a somewhat convoluted and imperfect solution for anyone who comes looking:

Scale your drawing so that it fits onto one of the pre-set paper sizes e.g. 1:2
Export the drawing as a PDF, helps to delete the border and info panel first
Open the PDF in Photoshop, default open settings should be fine
Scale the image back to 1:1 e.g. 200% in this example
Adjust the canvas size to your desired paper format, ensuring the image itself stays the same size
Save as a PDF again

You should now have a PDF file with a full size drawing, albeit with a slight loss in resolution

5 years and still no solution.

So how do I send a 1:1 pdf export of my Eg 10ft surf boards for outline cutting full deck pads and board bags etc. etc.

Still no resolution to this ? In Soldworks you have a custom size option for drawings.

Totally shocked this option is not available in Fusion as one would have thought its a simple one to implement .

The good news is that custom sheet sizes is one of the enhancements that we are planning to add to Fusion. It's on our roadmap (under Management).

This is a highly requested feature and is one of the projects that are currently in the early planning stages.

"Autodesk", When do you expect custom sheet sizes to come out? In my case I own a higher end printer and a very common and useful sheet size is "legal" which is 8.5 x 14 inches. Very common size. Most printers can take this. If Fusion / Autodesk would add just this one select and maybe later add custom sheet size it would make my life so much easier and I am sure I am not the only one. A lot of the other sizes that are selectable are not common at all for your normal business man/woman with the equipment they have. Respectfully, Sean

Thank you for showing interest in custom paper sizes, this is one of the projects that I am really excited about seeing in Fusion 360.

We don’t generally publish release dates for new features, until the features are ready to be released, this is done in the What’s new blog posts. We may sometimes announce upcoming features in a blog post.

At this point, it is still in the backlog under "Management" (shown by the grey colour). What I can share, is that feature is on our medium term roadmap. Keep checking back, the roadmap is updated after each release, as soon as we start work on it, the status colour will change.

Are there any way around this I need to print something that is around 1100x800 mm on my plotter but I can’t figure out if there is an alternative way of doing it it has to be precise so to put it in 2 papers is not an option for me

In my use case, I would like to export a dxf file of a part I designed to send to a CNC. In this case, I'm using someone else to do my cutting, and using the manufacture workspace is not an option (not my CNC machine). I need to export 2D DXF file so it can be imported for manufacturing. My normal workflow is to pull the model into a drawing to get a 2D DXF, but when my parts are larger than the sheet size allows, I run into issues.

It would be nice if there was an easy way to export a 2D DXF of a file, and also a way to create custom sheet sizes for this use case, as well as all the others mentioned here.
