this is confusing, I admit. What you want here is not "Delete" but "Remove":

It's a long story, but Fusion interprets "Delete" as "delete the feature which created this item", while "Remove" means "insert a feature into the timeline which removes this item". Internally, we call these "hard delete" and "soft delete". Remove is "soft delete". Because this inserts a "remove" feature in the timeline, you can back up to a point in time when that object still exists.

This works all well and fine for most things: If you Extrude a new body, and you "delete" that body, Fusion deletes the Extrude feature which created it, where if you "remove" that body, it just inserts a Remove feature in the timeline. However, Split Body is different. If you select a body produced by Split Body, then choose "delete", then Fusion interprets this as "remove the feature which created this body", and... the Split Body feature is deleted. Which is almost never what you want, because it puts the original body back together.

We continue to discuss how to make this work better and be more clearer, but have not yet settled on a consensus. Maybe different labels? Personally, I find "remove" and "delete" to be confusing, because they mean the same thing to me. There was resistance to "hard delete" and "soft delete" (which I like, actually), as being too technical. And "insert delete body feature" is too wordy for "remove".

Anyway, long answer to a short question. The short answer is use "remove".

I'm trying to delete the unwanted part of the coil, but unfortunately I have a problem with that, I can move this piece but I can not remove. In the video which you can see here I shows what happens when I try to remove the unnecessary part. Please help
