That may work with this one however Im more interested in the more complicated one I mentioned that crashes Easel because something as simple as the example I put up works fine on easel however the one I attached crashes it instantly so thats why I figured a more advanced program might be needed.

I have a problem that it doesnt seem anyone else has had yet. I want to import an svg that I exported from illustrator. I first tryed it in Easel but that crashed as soon as it exported so I figured I would try it in Fusion 360. When I upload the svg it appears under the data tab in the project but instead of a picture of what I uploaded it just says sorry image is not avalable right now however if I doubble click it then it opens in the browser just fine. So I figured I would try opening it as a sketch but instead it just flashes a little mesage in the bottom right that fades before I can read it, something about a bad lexical cast I think is what it says. If I had to guess its somthing to do with how its exporting from illustrator but Im not sure, its weird that it wont display the image but it opens fine in the browser. I tryed a few different images like a circle and a line with the same result. I attached a simple shape I drew if that helps.

Hi Brent,

Welcome to the community and thanks for reporting the problem.

The "Insert SVG" command under Insert dropdown on the Ribbon is the way to read svg files. However, it looks like there are some problems to read such svg. I have reported it to the development team for more investigation (case id: FUS-21698).

I could not figure out a straightforward workaround, but if the shape is not so complex, you may try inserting the corresponding image into Fusion by "Attached Canvas" then tracing the outline in sketch.

Sorry for the inconvenience,

Have there been any improvements on solving this problem? I imported a svg yesterday and was able to work with it and now F360 won't import that file nor any other svg. Not sure what happened between then and now but I'm at a standstill until i can work with svg logos again.

Thanks

Hi jfanchin,

Thanks for reaching out to us. We have improved the behavior of inserting the first svg file Brent attached here, and still working on the second - more complicated one.

From your description, it sounds you have experienced a different problem because it once worked. Could you provide more information (the svg, screenshots or screencast, etc.) here so we can better understand the problem and take a close look? (screencast.autodesk.com)

Regards,
