yes indeed!

I was looking for the right feature in the wrong environment and the sketch was already parametric too!!

thank you for the support and for the video.

have a nice day.

hi,

is it possible to make adaptative component in fusion360?

I explain my problem, maybe there is a different solution:

1.I have several component joint each other (such as A B C)

2.A and B are fix and C is connected to both of them

3.the only parameters are in A and B, this means that:

4.changing A and B dimensions C should change accordingly to the A and B

thank you for your help!

Absolutely. That's what parametric modeling is for.

If you can share more detailled information I could be persuaded to make a screencast and show you how that works.

There is also a good number of tutorial videos available.

does it work?

http://a360.co/1m88iVC

sorry, I can't find the file in my computer.I need to study more!! heheh

where can I find some tutorial for adaptative component in fusion360?? is it called "adaptative"? I didn't find anything so far.

thanks for you support.

ps. I am working with mac and it seems the software is pretty instable especially working wiht joints/animation

No, it's not called adaptive model, but I know whatyou mean 😉

The correct or generally accepted tterminology is called parametric modeling. You can changfe dimensions on one component and if designed properly other components adapt to that chnaged dimension.

When you are on the Fusion forum, look in the upper right corner. There is an elusive menu entry called Learning, which brings you to a lot of useful information.

Also there is a collection of youtube videos that may help:

https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmA_xUT-8UlLmTvSAketheHaNQWxNA5yT

Fusion 360 is a cloud/internet based software. The application itself is on cour computer, but all the data e.g. your design files are stored on servers on the internet/cloud. Thus you won't find them on your mac.

I've worked with CAD software for 25 years and with Fusion for a little over a year. I don't find it to be unstable. Actually it is one heck of a lot more stable than it was a year ago!

The below video shows a way to make a flexible hose.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/ff5772d1-e55f-441e-ab0a-ba1259afc892

Using a similar techinque, I imagine you should be able to accomplish what you asking for. Do you have any sample files you could share a public link of?
