      <title>Modeling a classic car fender</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hi Folks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am relatively new user with questions about the right approach to what I am trying to do. I would like to model the front fender of this roadster (and eventually the whole car) and then make a buck to build the fender. I have done most of the tutorials, including the drywall knife and the &amp;nbsp;RC car body. The t-spline approach in these tuts makes sense for these shapes, but this fender is a formed sheet with compound curves. It is not obvious to me how to accomplish this in t-splines. Am I missing something? Any recommendations on what tools and workflow to use to do this with Fusion 360 ? Any tutorials I might have missed that you could guide me to?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks a bunch!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Mark&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I think you can model the complete fender within the sculpt workspace. I would model a flat mesh and if i am finished that i would thicken them. But it is not required to finish a complex design within one workspace. Combine the different workspaces to get your work done &lt;span class="lia-unicode-emoji" title=":winking_face:"&gt;😉&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Timm - thanks for the suggestion. I have seen that, but on first viewing it didn't seem to address my issue. I feel that I do understand&amp;nbsp;how to approach a more modern body, which is fully enclosed, using&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Keqing's technique's, but it doesn't *appear* to address my concern about my fender. I will re-watch and see if I can figure out how to apply his approach. Thanks again!&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Timm is definitely&amp;nbsp; pointing you in the right direction. If you are trying to match a precise shape, it is very helpful to have something in the design to map to. You can insert a drawing into the design as a canvas, and map points and contours to that. I have imported sectioned drawings on different planes to match a complex profile, such as a boat hull, with reasonable precision.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;If you have access to the physical object and can take pictures of it, you might want to check out Alex Lobos’ presentation from AU on a workflow using Fusion and Memento.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
