Hi Erickson,

we have tried also Apple store version (2.0.1768) and were able to get results just fine. Could you please attach here the design with the study (setup) you are trying to solve? It might be some issue with the study settings?

When running a simulation on a component with pressure applied, I'm getting a really opaque error that I don't understand how to handle. The error is:

myComp: Study 1 - Static Stress: _____ 2016-01-25 10:20:13 _____
myComp: Study 1 - Static Stress: Error:
myComp: Study 1 - Static Stress: Error: Brep - GEWiz Read Error
myComp: Study 1 - Static Stress: Error: Error returned from Breps_Create

Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong here?

I dug into this some more via the timeline. It turns out the specific feature causing the error to arise was a fillet. If I remove the fillet, it will mesh fine. However, I want the fillet included and can't get it to mesh with it.

Hi Erick,

I am not able to reproduce the meshing issue on given model. Meshing takes couple of mitutes with result:

Brep - GEWiz error file v0: Study 3 - Static Stress: Base mesh: 343178 nodes, 184744 elements

According to message you posted meshing fails for some unexpected reason. I can recommend you to:

for symmetric models and symmetric conditions is possible to cut model and solve only part (e.g. quarter or one row of model only). Is it your case? It reduces mesh size and increases result precision.

try modify Mesh Settings to reduce mesh size. When you change Average Element Size to 12, Minimum Element Size to 50 and Maximum Turn Angle to 90 deg mesh has 90687 nodes, 47579 elements

try generate mesh on another PC

Please let us know if it helps.

Jan, thanks for checking it out.

1. My full model, unlike this test case, is not symmetric so I can't reduce the size via symmetry constraints.

2. I still get the error with your suggested mesh settings.

3. I had my colleague try to mesh the model on his machine and he got the same error.

Which version of Fusion360 are you using? I currently have 2.0.1,768 on OSX 10.11.1.
