How to make a simply suported beam in simulation?

Dear,

I am trying to make a simply supported beam in the simulation mode of fusion 360.
But I am not sure witch kind of constraint I have to choose?
I fixed on in only on direction gives me a error of not enough constraint.
Prescribed displacement in on direction gives ma also a error in on direction.
I hope someone can help me out.

You can constrain just an edge. So for a simply supported beam constraint you'd put a fixed constraint on the edge/edges of the beam

If I use the fixed for a simply supported beam how can I than make a cantilever beam on both ends?

Dear Josef,

I just have to make a simple cantilever and simply supported on the end of my beam.
But when I read the solution you give me I have to make Ux and Uy free but then a get a error that I have no enough constraint.
Can you maybe just say how I make in a easy way a simply supported and then a cantilever.

You could simply fix one end and add fixed constraint to the edge of the other end and left Ux free, please see attached screenshot...

I have tried to make a simply suported like on each end simply suported.

But if I do these I don't get a simulation they just give me a error.

You could also try this why. mine is simple in bothe ends wasn't sure how you wanted it. Constraints only on the edges. I have not varified with hand calcs but looks resonable.
