Hi @jorsborn,

One thought I have is you could window select all the parts (making sure all the bodies are highlighted) and right-click and select Move. Then do a 180 degree rotation about the correct axis and that should flip it. Also, you could use the Align Tool in the modify menu, but that may be a bit trickier. Just a few simple thoughts, let me know if those work! If not, we can brainstorm more!

Thanks,

I am machining a part which requires two operations... the part needs to be flipped after the first. I model my soft jaws around the cylindrical part and setup my CAM for OP1. Now, when it comes to OP2 the part needs to be flipped in those same soft jaws in order to create the CAM. What is the best way to do this? I could duplicate the component and flip it but it just seems like there might be an easier way as this is common.

Make a second set of soft jaws if you need them. Then make a second setup in the CAM workspace and use Select Z axis for Orientation and select the bottom face. If the soft jaws are a component, first select and copy then make sure you use Paste New to make an independent copy.

I think this might be the best solution. Soft jaw components are pretty quick to model. I was just hoping to be able to re-use the existing soft jaw models as that is what I am doing in reality.

If you model the soft jaws as a component you can use Copy and Paste New to make the second pair then use Align to move them as a component into place. You might want to ground the part you're machining so it doesn't move while you're aligning the soft jaws.
