I'm trying to model a carbon fiber car seat. This has required me to do a lot of form editing in the freeform environment. I have noticed that if I move a surface around or delete lines, the surface keeps some geometry form the previous form. How can I make a face smooth out? No matter what I try I cant get rid of this geometry that does not have any constraints seemingly attached to it. The crease that is not supposed to be there is highlighted in the attached picture.

Welcome to the Fusion 360 community and thanks for posting this question. Could you share a public link of the design?

It may help to review the mode in box mode. In box mode, you can help to smooth out the geometry. To access box mode, select Modify > Performance > Display Mode. Or you can select the sculpt body and select ALT +1, ALT + 2, or ALT + 3 to quickly toggle between modes. Once in box mode, try to make smooth transition between each faces.

I hope this suggestion helps. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

In box mode my freeform appears to be fine. The problem is not in the edges of the face. The face has geometry that is self intersecting. looking at it in box mode only shows what is going on with the edges. I'm trying to make the surface smooth, and that cant be done my manipulating edges it appears.
