Modelling a heart

Hi everyone,

I am a beginner to Fusion and I’m trying to model a heart shape with a central droop (concave dip in the middle) similar to the attached reference. I’ve tried different approaches in both Fusion 360 and Revit, but I’m struggling to get the shape exactly right.

What I’ve Tried:

Sweep in Revit – Works well for the overall shape but is symmetrical, so I can’t create the droop in the center.
Loft in Fusion 360 – I attempted to use multiple profiles with guide rails to introduce a dip, but I’m not getting the smooth curvature I need and keep getting error messages.
Sweep in Fusion 360 – Tried following a guide curve to introduce variation, but the shape doesn't fully match what I need (as shown in the attached image with the DXF file as an underlay)
Blends in Revit – Tried stacking blends, but I’m unsure if this is the best way to achieve an organic form.
Multiple extrusions - Tried multiple extrusions to create the shape rounded shape and camphored it but i kept getting error messages not allowing me to have a full rounded surface

What I Need Help With:

Is Loft with guide rails the correct approach, or is there a better way to introduce the dip?
How can I make sure the shape smoothly transitions rather than looking too rigid?
Would using T-Splines or Sculpt Mode in Fusion 360 be a better option for this?
Any workflow recommendations for getting more organic control over the shape?

Any advice or alternative methods would be greatly appreciated!

Sweep with Guide Path, use Full Extent and Stretch settings to avoid the scaling of the height as it gets wider.

Thank you for your reply Dave! Did you split the heart then mirror it? I keep getting error messages despite the path being smooth. The profile is centered to the pathway and so is the guard rail (or at least what i think is the guardrail). Could you please tell me if i'm doing the steps wrong?

Using, relying on the dxf - not recommended for all those reasons you are seeing. (Can't see the lower intersection)

Redraw one side, much simpler. I am lazy efficient, will only ever draw half, to modelling mirror later.

despite the path being smooth - not if it's imported and

the Guide Rail is not connected to the profile, should not matter, but you are relying on imported sketch geometry - will matter.

First thing I would do is move the sketch to the Origin.

I originally had it to the origin but have done so many iterations its now in no mans land haha. What would you recommend doing for the droop? I have tried outlining using splines but i still keep coming up with errors

Do you have a picture of something similar to what you are attempting to design?

What is your intended size (right now it is 5 meters across).

The intended size is about 5m across. It supposed to be an enlarged embossed photo frame 🙂
