Yes, that is a bug. As for a workaround, I've been able to get it to update correctly sometimes by forcing a solve, by dragging, or editing a dimension.

We'll take a look and work on a fix.

Please see this video demonstration. Basically if you create a pattern from sketch curves that have constraints it's likely that the pattern will break soon after. I am having this issue on large scales quite often, but I tried to hone it down to the simplest example I can show. Please let me know if you need more information. Is there something I can do about this or is it a problem/bug with sketch patterns?

Great - thanks for looking into it. I'm basically trying to demonstrate, for my students, how to create complex patterns by creating "tiles" of sketch curves but this is making any changes to dimensions or parameters completely ruin the pattern every time. What you described is a workaround -- changing a dimension from "myuserparam" to "myuserparam" and hitting enter causes the whole pattern to recalculate properly. That works fine if you're in the sketch. Of course if you're trying to change a user parameter while NOT in the sketch it's even messier.

In general I'd avoid creating skeatch patterns if the same can be achieved patterning solid bodies, components, or features. Sketch patterns slow down Fusion 360 considerably, while pattering solid geometry still leaves Fusion snappy.

If you have a chance to watch this screencast, maybe you can give me further advice on how to use the solid bodies rect pattern command to arrive at what the Sketch pattern would do for me (if it was working properly).

Here is a screencast of of another more "holistic" approach 😉

Unfortunatley it does not completely work, because I think I've discoverd another bug, so actually at the moment we're a little stuck with either aproach.

Hah "haywire" .. same adjective I've used with these patterning problems. I've seen this same bug that you're pointing out. It's almost the same as the other bug that I reported last week, but that was with sketch patterns. So strange that both bugs seem so obvious and trivial - weird that they haven't been detected and resolved already (unless they're new bugs that have just appeared).

I've discovered that adding a rectangle pattern sketch results in my sketch becoming NOT fully constrained. Guess I won't be using that tool in my project!!! Back to the old fashioned way of adding sketch patterns.

I encounter many issues where a sketch that is all black starts showing some curves as blue all of a sudden. I don't think it necessarily means that the sketch is no longer fully constrained, just that the color coding is failing?

In my case the sketch pushpin disappears and sketch lines turn blue. I'll create a Scrrencast and post it when I have a chance. I thought I had totally figured out all of the factors influencing "Fully Constrained" sketches that show the pushpin but when I added the rectangle pattern of a 3-Tangent circle using a dimension line as the direction, the Pushpin disappears. Thank for the feedback.
