Section analysis has no option to select by plane

Hi all,

I'm new to F360 and am having trouble veiwing section analysis. When I invoke the command, it offers only the option to select faces, not planes. I've checked preferences, tried right clicking models, I can't find it! I'm on a Mac running Yosimite 10.10.4, if that helps. My boss wants to see a cross section of the sculpt I'm doing! Please help.

Are you talking about the document planes. I don't have any problem selecting them for a section, what are you seeing can you attach a screen grab?

Actually, your screen grab solved this for me! I was unaware I needed to twirl the origin folder open to select a plane! Thank you so much!

Actually you can pick the planes in the work area as long as the origin is visible, sometimes you'll need to zoom out so the planes end up bigger relative to the model.
