    <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Mark,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;That does clear it up, but I think it strange that it does not revert to the global origin. However, now that I am aware of the default behaviour, I can take the necessary steps to ensure certain points do line up.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks again&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;John&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>offset construction plane</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In Sketch, I create a simple rectangle in the blue/red (front) plane with the origin at the blue red axes intersection. I then create an offset plane say 900mm away from that and create another Sketch rectangle on the offset plane also with the origin on the axes intersection. When viewing both rectangle from the front, the origins of the rectangles do not coincide. Am I missing something or doing something incorrectly?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Any help much appreciated.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Did you turn the origin planes on and offset or just offset the sketch. If you offset the sketch the origin&amp;nbsp;will be at the centre of the sketch, if you offset from an origin plane&amp;nbsp;the origin in the sketch should line up.&lt;/P&gt;
