Hello,

I've heard that it is not possible to move the curvate handles of a spline in a 3D sketch.

I would to loft 2 rectangular profiles, using splines guidelines that allows me to have a tangent continuity with the bodies i'm joining with the loft. I hope you will understand with the images : the 2 rectangles are orientited perpandiculary in the space, and i want to optain the effect that the body turned around the central axis...

But right now, when i create those guidelines with 3D splines, there is no way for me to drag the handles in order to make the begining and the end of the spline tengent to vertical.

Is there another way i can do it ?

Simplest way is to extrude bottom profile and use loft tool with specified tangency, and matching vertices:

Other thing is that we can move curvartures handles in 3d spline we can even add coinstraints (tangent or smooth).

Michał

Thank you very much Michal ! This is exactly what i needed.

I didn't managed to move the handles in the 3D spline, they are like frozen even if i activate them...

But for now this solution you showed me is perfect.

Try also to play with 3d spline, for further use:

Michał

Handles are frozen, but try to pick ending point and drag it, after that whole handle will change colour from green to blue. From now you can use move command.

Michał

Hi @michallach81,

if you combain two lines (both in different, angled Planes) with a 3D spline, is it possible to add a tangent constraints between those? Or what is the best method to make that kind sketch?
