You can use Remove instead of Delete, the body will still be in the design just hidden. You will still have the option to modify the original body by rolling the time line back to before the remove.

Deleting the original of a copy?

I am designing a model, and I made a copy of a body. I made changes to the copy and would now like to delete the original. As you may have inferred, I run into a problem in which an error pops up saying that a few feature in the timeline are refering to the original. Is there a way for me to delete the original without making the entire program mad at me, or would it just be easier to delete the copy and make changes on the original?

Note: I am very new to any kind of CAD/design software and I realize there is a good chance there is some kind of documentation on this somewhere.

Use "Remove" not "Delete".
