    <description>This mechanism will have position constraints solved numerically as a set of simultaneous equations. Motion links are solved this way. I think this means that there is no difference between serial or parallel links. Very cool model!</description>

      <title>Serial Joints or Parallel Joints</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When&amp;nbsp;I add the final&amp;nbsp;section (the hand section with its pinion feathers) to the wing shown below&amp;nbsp;and finish adding all the various components that will allow the wing to fold up properly (like in the second and third imges), I'll be adding quite a few&amp;nbsp;more revolute joints. Each of those joints will need&amp;nbsp;a motion link&amp;nbsp;to an earlier, more proximal joint.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The question is: should I link each new joint to the nearest previous joint in the manner of a chain (in a serial sort of linkage) or should&amp;nbsp;they all be linked to a single, common joint (in a parallel fashion)? Would the program find it easier to solve the series case or the parallel case?
