thanks for the question. So I can better understand your workflow, can you give me a specific example of what you are trying to accomplish toggling selectable/unselectable (not currently available with the context of a command) versus toggling visibility from the browser (which is available within the context of a command)?

thanks in advance for your response.

It would be convenient to be able to toggle an entity (body, component, sketch, construction geometry, etc) between selectable/unselectable after a command has been activated and while in the command. Presently it seems you must exit an active command to perform this toggle.

I am attempting to extract feature measurements from an STL imported body. I have a t-spline body nested over the STL body. I am creating multiple reference planes and axis with respect to the STL body and then using the measure tool with respect to these reference elements. I toggle selectable to allow visually reference of the body and yet avoid selecting features that I am not interested in referencing. I start the command to add a new reference feature before toggling selectable, upon realizing this I must now end the command, toggle selectable, then restart the command.

Similar issue when simply working in the model workspace. I have a large T-spline solid. I am adding additional features to this large body. While creating the features, which will later be combined with the larger T-spline body, I need to see the T-spline body for reference but I do not want the complication of be able to select it while working on teh new feature. I toggle the T-spline body selectability. When its time to project a feature from the T-spline to a sketch plane I start the project command, I then realize I cannot select the T-spline body, I must end the project command, toggle selectability for the T-spline body, then restart the project command.

This is not a glitch or bug. Its simply a request for an improvement in functionality.
