Hi Martin,

It sort of helped but instead I sketched a line at a 12 degree angle below the center of the circle and entered a dimension to place the line 1/2 inch below the center of the circle. thank you for the response.

Tom K

Sent from Windows Mail

I need to sketch a line through the center of a circle at a 12 degree angle, after which I need to offset a line .5 inches beneath the first line and parallel. I understand how to offset, but I don't understand how to pass a line through the center of a circle at a 12 degree angle with the line extending past the edges of the circle in both directions. I'm designing a pistol grip for a Colt 1911 and the bottom of the grip is at a 12 degree angle 1/2 inch below the center of the bottom screw hole of the grip. Check page 32 or 57 of the attached PDF file and you will see the angle I'm trying to design. I would appreciate the help.

Tom Kittredge

Hello Tom,

I would use workaround, create line from center of circle in angle 12deg and extend the line.

please let me know, if you need more information

regards
