topic Components don't keep selection sets? in Fusion Design, Validate & Document Forum

So I tried to use my selection sets that were already set up with a component that was moved into a new design and the folder for selection sets does not show up. Am I doing something wrong? Thank you for your time.

What do you mean with "moved to a differnet design" ?

Is this a linked component ? (X-REf )

I blieve the selection sets are specific to the design, not to the component in a design as they show up in the top level of the browser.

Yes it is a linked component. Even if I break the link and activate the component the folder is still not there.

That makes sense. to give an idea of my goal, I want to have a library of parts that I can pull from into a new design and modify them in the new design without changing the one in the library. So the link would be broken. But I still want to keep my selection sets so that I don't have to change the one in the library then place it into the design and then change the original back.
