Jeff thank you for your reply.
As a reply to you, I meant that to pick the radius of cylinder would only happen if you click a button "select radius from cylinder" then pick the cylindrical surface, instead of if you click on a cylinder would take it directly. Like for example the "measure" option when picking a dimension in extrude or other tools.

By the way I come from inventor and fusion is very intuitive and I am really enjoying it. Autodesk is doing a great job.

Patrick

Hello,

one thing I am facing in fusion 360 is when I am doing a fillet for a solid if by mistake i click on a curved surface, it will try to take that as the radius for the fillet, and will take fusion 360 anywhere from 10minutes to an hour to tell you that it won't work. Is it possible to keep the feature but need to click on a box then select the curvature? or a way to kill the fillet command even when it is processing, that way I won't have to wait it out to be resolved.

Regards,

Patrick

Hi @pjreijiri,

Thank you for your detailed description.

I have tried to reproduce what you have discribed but I was not able to reproduce the hanging you described

Could you perhaps create some screen shots, maybe a screen cast and share it with us?

Thanks,

Mike

Hi @pjreijiri,

We are working on the ability to interrupt commands that are taking a long time to compute. It's not quite ready for prime time, but we understand the requirement. I've run into this myself, so I empathize.

I'm not completely certain what you mean by "Is it possible to keep the feature but need to click on a box then select the curvature?". Are you just asking to remove the ability to click on another feature to set the fillet radius? We don't have that today. For some history, the ability to set a fillet radius by picking a cylindrical or other fillet face was from Fusion's past life as a direct modeler (no history, no parameters), so this gave it an easy way to match an existing fillet radius without having to remember the radius value.

Jeff
