Create a plane on the centre line of the bearing then use Project Intersect, this should give you a rad you can measure. If you can't get a size because you've ended up with a spline draw a 3 point arc on the spline and measure.

I did a screencast for someone a while ago that demonstrates what I tried to describe above, watch the first minute.

And a tip for making the plane, use Plane Along Path

Thanks Mark,

Probably a simple task once you know how, I guess it's all easy once you know how.

Clearly, that is something that I need to learn and will but for now, so I can continue with the modeling I'll just go to my other CAD where it takes about 3 seconds to find.

I posted before you posted the screencast, I did watch but need to watch it many more times to get the drift.

That bearing stack is at a 2º angle which further complicates it for me.

The whole sequence seems so terribly complicated to me though.

Not all fillets are that hard to measure, I think the problem is where you have a fillet around a curved surface. The plane along path should work to get a plane perpendicular to the fillet.

OK, in-spite of you going 900 MPH HAHA it took a few trys to follow the cast but ended up being not all that difficult.

Now I have another tool in my belt 🙂

Thanks Mark,

Another way is to simply cut through the fillet with a box and measure the edge...

Still not handy as the data is there and you are forced to do an unnecessary step that has to be reversed...

BTW:

I also measure XYZ delta 99.9% of the time - here circles or cylinders are also not handy as they only show the center,

which has to be activated using the command key. Snappoints on the "edges" of a circle (i.e.in a 90° angle)

would make measuring much quicker...
