So I applied an appearance to the boat shaped table top that I rotated 90 degrees and then I noticed that there was an issue on the curved side. The appearance did not cover the entire shape. See the screencast attached. This is the first time that I have noticed this and thought I would see if anyone else had this issue/if there is a way to fix it. Thank you for your time.

Hi @Anonymous,

Just to check - when you went to apply the appearance, were your selection filters set to Body or Face? If it was set to face, perhaps the blank space is being recognized as a separate face?

Edit: One thing I just thought of - does this blank spot only apply to the one side of the board, or around the whole perimeter?

Thanks,

Sorry that I did not show that part but it does happen if I delete the appearance and reapply it. To answer your question, I did apply it with the Bodies/Components option selected. The body was created with a single extrusion.

Hi @Anonymous,

I just tried to reproduce this and couldn't... I built your model from scratch, but it turns out mine actually looks a bit different (perhaps I missed a step) and I don't seem to have that edge (where the rendering was incorrect). Check out my screen shot below (I couldn't post it in inline, so I attached it).

Hi @Anonymous,

Sorry about such the long delay to get back to you! I was playing around with this some more over the holidays and noticed that I could reproduce this as well. As you mentioned it seemed "sporadic" in that it disappeared once I would restarted Fusion. Let me play around with this some more, but luckily it seems that you had a valid workaround. Did anything new turn up as a result of this issue?

Don't worry about the delay, I'm not in a rush. In using Fusion daily since then I have not run into this issue again. I have not used the same workflow since then so it could be related. To give a background on the part, I am working on designing a library of parts for various conference tables so when I make a table top and I want to quickly see how a edge profile looks, I can pull one from the library and sweep the profile along the outside of the table to get an idea of how it would look. Since this would only serve as a quick design it wouldn't be something that I would use on a final product and rendering so for me it is not a big deal. I just thought that I should report this possible bug or identify it as a graphics issue on my end. Thank you for taking the time to play around with this more!
