Sketch pattern glyph glitch

I see that this has been brought up in a post a few weeks ago (link), but the offered solution doesn't work. Also, I discovered a workaround that may shine some light on the nature of the problem.

The basic problem is that the glyphs are sometimes not selectable, and disappear past a certain zoom level.

The pattern does not appear in the selection menu if I click and hold the overlapping line. Deleting the overlapping line doesn't help make it selectable.

Strangely, the pattern is selectable for a brief moment after undoing the deletion of the line. Actually, it doesn't seem to matter which sketch curve is deleted, undo still gives a brief window of selectability.

Thanks for sharing the design, @Anonymous. I can reproduce this on my machine. We'll take a look at it and see if we can figure out what is the problem.

This same problem is happing to me now.
