I've encountered two problems so far with the 03 Sculpt tutorial and/or the accompanying tutorial file, 03_Sculpting_Introduction.

1. Faces and edges of objects such as the box and the revolved bottle shaped object only appear when the object is selected. At all other times the object faces and edges are invisible, contra the tutorial vids and step-by-step pdfs

2. The centerline option in the Sculpt LOFT command produces a squashed looking structure resembling a crushed aluminum soda can. It doesn't match the tutorial images.

Does anyone have any suggestions for these problems?

To see the actual edges you need to set your display settings as such:

I can't comment on the tutorial. If you post a link I'll look into it.

Thank you. I'll try this and resume the tutorial. If the LOFT centerline problem persists I'll post a screenshot of what's happening.

I'm still getting a defect LOFT cylinder. The attached screenshot shows what's happening.

Any ideas will be appreciated.

Mark

I am not 100% sure this is the problem, but it looks like the profile might be twisted. The fat blue dot circled in red is a handle (I believe) that you can grab and pull around on the profile to control the amount of twist.

Thanks again. Manipulating the profile where you indicated fixed it, visually at least. See attached screen shot.
