Not sure if I'm understanding things here, as some words mean many things, as you are new and stuck , here is 2cents,

i take it Canvass, is an inserted graphic file that is used in backgrounds for visual guidance to model from.

Inserting them is a two step process, attach the file, then right click menu on it, to "Calibrate" it. Pick 2 points on the graphic and specify your dimension.

others refer to the drawing window as a canvass so I'm not talking about that.

I have very little use for Scale Tool, (other than to be thinking it would not be advisable with a Canvass as I know it) so will defer to others that use it.

Might help you for now...

Often, when I try to scale a canvas using the generic Scale tool, it will preview the canvas at the correct size that I wanted but then underscale it once I approve it. I have to exit the Scale tool multiple times for the function to scale correctly. Anyone have this problem?

Yes that's what I meant. Calibrating. Often times when I calibrate a canvas image, it will size it differently than what I specified and what was previewed. If I attempt to calibrate it smaller than the original size, the resulting size will be smaller than I what was previewed and then too small. If I'm calibrating the canvas larger, then the resulting canvas size will be too large.

Ok, thanks for that, I have not seen it before, and maybe a screencast will help for others that follow this up.

Sorry I can't be more help.

Here's the screencast. It will work correctly if I delete the canvas and then reinsert but no one should have to do that to get a correctly sized canvas once they know how large it needs to be.
