OD prolem

Very frustrated. I have created a cylinder that needs an OD of .8075in. I simply created it, and when i measure it it comes out to .808?

I have tried to press/pull -.0005 and it then goes to .807.

Even showing all decimals, this OD will NOT show me .8075, which is what I need to create the drawing for this particular project, instead it will show .807000000000 or .808000000000.

This particular project requires dimensioning to .0000 and I am quite stumped on why every other dimension will show to four decimals but my OD won't.

Can you Export a *.f3d file and attach here a file that exhibits this behavior?

I just tried the every which way I can think of and cannot reproduce the behavior that you describe.

Even my file attaches without issue?

I just read this again. Why are you using Presspull to change a diameter size?

What is .808 - (2*.0005) (Hint: Presspull(ing) the radius all the way around by -.0005)

What happens if you Presspull half the diameter you are trying to remove (.00025)?

Sounds like a technique (I would have used parametric sketch dimension) or math issue.

very new to all of this, trying to update my dad's shop that has been using paper and pen for 30 years and i need to figure this system out to get us with the times.

Hi jwsullivan2,

welcome to Fusion.

try adjusting your decimal display preferences. the default settings is 0.123 (hence the round up to 0.808 that you are seeing) and you need 0.1234 to display the value of 0.8075. You can get to your preferences from your profile name drop dow in the upper right of the application.
