Trying to create a sweep to cut head ache!

It's fair to say that my use of fusion is more for the cam than anything else.

Its also true to say that my aspirations regarding my cad modeling are not normal. I'm more mesh orientated than cad block work.

So for a bit of fun I thought I would take a very quick break from my retopolgy studies and double funeral planning. To see if I could design a knife.

well I'm stuck! I can't create the triangle profile I want to sweep around the lower blade edge profile to create the bevel.

I had a look at the NYCCNC fusion Friday videos about making a sweep but I can't seem to get the required result.

I have also attached the f360 file for you to see what want to do!

If you good folks can show me how to get what I want with this, I can move on! my head is fried now.

While I delete some things in the screencast as there is an easier way to do it, there is nothing wrong in the design. It's just not complete.

Hopefully the screencast explains how I did it.

I think I'd do it the same way. There is nothing wrong with your approach.

If the blade edge get's more complicated you can also try a loft as shown in this thread.

i can see how a loft would work there.

i never though of looking at a loft! god to know if i ever do this again.

my original blade had loads more intersect points and different splines. but i thought redraw with less as less is more!

loft yeah i will try that in future.

Questions, can you turn the black info panel off on the screen cast? As it gets in the way of how you look at the tree on the left. Or is it a screen cast feature?

You should be practicing this in T-Splines!
