&lt;P&gt;You can also turn off the visibility of the body/component that you do not want to be cut. As&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2768685"&gt;@TrippyLighting﻿&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;mentioned, I'll be able to give more explicit instructions or a video when I see the model.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>CUT feature in assemblies?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I work a lot with assemblies and would like to learn how to cut a feature without it cutting any other parts in the assembly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I make sure the part I am working on (active) and do a CUT feature it cuts everything around or touching the part.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you for any help or direction on what I am doing wrong.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
