Thank you for the diagnostic log files. We will investigate the issue for the root cause. I will post an update as soon as one is available. Could you try the following steps as a workaround to see if Fusion loads the desired version?

1. Open the latest version of inserted file

2. Make a small change (add sketch for example)

3. Save it

4. Go back to the assembly file and choose the version before the latest

When doing this as a workaround, please ignore the out-of-data warning.

Hi Masa,

Thanks for your help. I did try the get latest version, but even though the icon looks right, an older version still loads.

I loaded the next to recent version and it was right, but I still have the warning in the browser of the assembly it is in. Whenener I update it reloads the older version.

I'm stumped, yes I have saved the diagnostics file and some screen caps and attached them here.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thanks ,

Raymond

Hi Masa,

Thanks for your help, unfortunately I am now having the same problem with another assembly.

I jave attached two screen caps of a planetary gear assembly I am working on. I updated the stand to make it wider (Stand Latest.jpg) It saves as V19. The assembly shows v19 in the browser but you can see in the graphics window it is still the previous rev v18 narrow version. (Stand Assembly.jpg)

Basically, I am unable to work at this point as I cant get new versions to load properly.

I am creating content for an educational curriculum involving CAD modeling and 3D printing for STEM education. We will be getting hundreds of high school kids learning CAD through our program and I was hoping to introduce them to Fusion 360, but now I have questions about the reliability of stability of the data.

I hope we can resolve this quickly or I may have to pursue other CAD alternatives.

Best Regards,

Raymond

Hi Ahsan,

I just noticed something. If I go to the part that is loading as an old version and do a simple change, in this case I just turned the origin on and then off again and saved to create a new version.

When I go back to the assembly and click the yellow warning sign to load the new version it is loading the next step (version) each time....like watching the history timeline of the part.

This only started after the update last week where you only had to click the update warning onceas opposed to how you used to have to update in a subassembly first and then the top assy.

I suspect there is a bug in the updated command.

Thanks,

Raymond

Ok, never mind. I think I figured it out. The file was there under the folder "Ratio Tests". I kept looking for it under "Planetary Gear V2 120" as the pictures suggested.

I opened Gear Ratios V2 and could see that it is already pointing at the latest version of the Sliding Pin file. So, I couldn't do anything there. Then I noticed that it was pointing at an earlier version (V 20) of Base V2, so I performed Get All Latest, and as expected, that updated Base V2 to point at the latest version 30. So, unfortunately, I couldn't see any problem there either.

Could you please run Fusion on a different machine and see if you can see this Get Latest issue on it using the same data set?

If not, can you please try the following:
* Zip up your cloud cache folder on the machine you're seeing the problem? You'll find that folder in a place similar to this:
C:\Users\<winnt-folder>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<cloud-cache-folder\W.login\F
The cloud-cache-folder will look something like this: EEZ9QQFUVTHM
* Delete the whole F folder
* Try to reproduce this problem by opening the same files and performing get latest

Appreciate your help in figuring out this issue
Regards,
Ahsan

Hi Josh,

I have one of the engineers looking at my data files, hopefully they will find the issue.

This only started after the update last week where they changed the way you load the latest files. I suspect there is a bug in there somewhere.

Raymond

Yep. Read the post. It was late Friday afternoon before I let the update go through so I didn't notice. Today has been miserable till I figured out what was happening. I would make a change to a component and go back to the assembly to see how the updated part would stack out, see it wasn't enough, and go double or triple up on the changes. I think I have every thing backed out and using a work around to keep going. It is definitely a Monday.

Hi all.

not sure if this could help but maybe remove Fusion completely + also by hand remove all the left over files the uninstaller does not remove

and then install Fusion freshly again.

I needed this to get some UI elements to work.

Maybe through freshly installing Fusion also all local files might get updated locally.

Also could a computate all help?

I tried the suggestion of deleting the files in this directory: C:\Users\<winnt-folder>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360\<cloud-cache-folder\W.login\F

It seems to be working so far, I'm still a little concerned about why it happened in the first place however....
