can't edit shetch

I started a "new design from file" by importing an existing STEP model as reference. I was well into it before I realized that Design History was not being captured. I right-clicked on the topmost file to "capture history" and now the "edit sketch" feature is no longer available.

I did an undo, and it came back but it's too late to start over. Is there any work-around for this?

I'm sorry to hear that....

Fusion supports both a history-based design and a direct modeling design type.

However we are not able to roll back after changing the option as far as I know.

Have you saved it once since you start the modeling? Is there any revision on the web?
