duel Knife Bevels

Hi guys got a tricky one for you I have been working with a custom knife maker to put some of his knife designs into CAD, which I thought would be a peace of cake but his knives I can't use a simple sweep to make the edge bevels. I have made it work by making a body of the negative shape then subtracting it but that method is not very practical at all. I have attached a good pic of one of his knives to show the geometry and a picture he gave me to work with. we are leaving about a .1" flat along the edge to keep the blade from warping during heat treat.

Why would that not be very practical ?

because its a trial and error method which for CAD designs I feel there should be a more precise way of achieving the same thing in way less time.

For anyone that download this image to try their luck with this design and sees that the image comes in with incorrect aspect ratio, here is the reason and fix for this.

That depends on what you are trying to do with the CAD data. I am not sure what precision means in the realm of unique handcrafted objects that vary from piece to piece.

he is wanting to start making folding knives so we are having to go from hand crafted to CNC machined parts, but he wants to use a version of that knife as the base
