"Parameterize" an mixture of components & bodies?

Hi there! I'm a CAD mentor for a HS robotics team and we're looking to try and "parameterize" a component. This is an intake roller tube with two endcaps that are fastened through the tubing via 10-32 fasteners. What I'd like to be able to do is have a Configuration table that defines the overall length of the tubing, have one endcap act as an "anchor" (circled in green) and have the part grow in the opposite direction. When adjusting this length, the associated through-hole for the mounting as well as the endcap would align accordingly (circled in red).

Any suggestions on how to get this? We can brute force this but want to learn how to make this easier in the future. Reference file attached

The mixture of Bodies and Components will not work if you want to Configure this assembly, the body must be converted to a component. A couple suggestions for future development. One, do not use primitives, use sketch features instead. Two, model on the Origin if at all possible.

I have only added two Configurations to your model. This of course turns it into a F2Z file which you have to Upload to the Cloud to open it. Model is attached.
