Move not moving in correct axis

I have the Z axis UP When I slide the body in the Z axis it changes the Y axis.

The popup window shows the Y axis changing not the Z.

Thanks for asking this.

The manipulator is kind of a local coordinate system. Its axes are not linked to the component coordinate system, but the face where the manipulator was placed on. At present, the Y axis of the manipulator is the face normal, no matter in Z UP design or in Y UP design. (Maybe we should use the face normal as Z axis in this case? I will discuss with the team about it)

Furthermore, we’re currently working on a project to improve the Move experience. We’re planning to support the movement along the component coordinate system, such that the direction is more predictable.

Good news! A much improved Move command will be available in our up-coming Jan update, and should have this issue fixed!
