Hi

I´m relative new to Fusion360 but manage quite a bit. Just love it. Have been using Inventor for years.

I like Fusion´s way of joining but have a problem with joining the cross beam to the leg. The edge of the leg is curved and it is offset from the floor by 100 mm

The other cross beams are in the right position. They are there as I have placed them there without joining them. Suggestions?

Okay, it's not working, because your are working with an imported component.
What you can do to overcome this limitation, is:
1. Create a sketch on that part that you want to place the Joint origin. In the sketch, create a Point (using the Point tool) where you want the Joint origin or somewhere in the sketch.
2. Snap the Join origin to that Point you have just created and from there, you can position the Joint origin wherever you want.
