I have a model where I am inserting an image on both sides of a display. the display has a large curvature and I'm seeing issues on the external side of this display with ripples in the image. This does not happen on the internal curvature though?

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing the screencast and the pictures.

This is really helpful. I will go ahead and try to reproduce what I have seen in the video.

Could you may share the dimensions of the display like length, radius and height?

It would be great if you could share the file with us as well.

Just want to share as much information as possible with the Fusion 360 development team.

Thank you for your help,

@Anonymous

Is that a decal or straight texture?

Also have you tried to separate the two curved surfaces from the solid and texture map the individual faces?

What UV mapping method are you using?

My guess: In the 'decal' dialogue box there is an option to 'Chain Faces'. Deselect that option and the decal should appear fine.

Hi @Anonymous,

I can agree with @donsmac, you might try to deactivate "Chain Faces".

You can right-click on the Decal and select "Edit Decal" and uncheck "Chain Faces"

I have just made short test in this screencast here.

I hope this helps. Thanks,
