I believe this can be achieved with the look-at function/button.

This is one of the 5 buttons located and the bottom of the Fusion 360 screen.

Hope I am not doing a double suggestion here because it looks to me like more people would find this usefull, but couldn't find.

It would be nice to, apart from all the views already available, have a function available to set the view perpendicular to a plane. In the screenshot below, the section is not in line with any of the existing views, with some effort i can rotate the view so that i look more or less perpendicular to it. It would be nice to be able to select the plane and choose a perpendicular view to quickly have an exact view.

This would be ideal for quick screen prints etc to discuss with colleagues/3rd, or to use as named views so we can make a drawing of it.

Have you tried using Look At, select a face or plane then click Look At, toolbar at the bottom of the work area. You can then right click Named Views in the browser and create a new view that can be used in the drawing workspace.

Is there a way to look to the right of this (plane) view, or would I need to construct a 2nd perpendicular plane?

Hi,

You can define any planar surface as a named view, select it in design mode, and use it in the drawing for views.
