Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I am sorry to hear that! Just to check - does a crash error report ever generate once Fusion is quit out of? If so, do you have a report number or email address (private message me the one you user for Fusion) so that I can look those up. Also, can you do a quick test for me and open Activity Monitor and see how much RAM/CPU you are using when this happens? I am curious to see why it seizes up your entire machine when Fusion freezes.

Thanks,

Thanks for the quick response, I have sent you a pm with email and info on my Activity Monitor when this happens. I am unable to send the report because my computer freezes & has to be forced shut down & restarted. I have the limit effects checked on & I am on an iMac & Wacom Cintiq. Fusion is great & I would love to get this problem solved so I can use it.

Thanks

Hi @caylon.headrick,

Okay let's start by trying a few diagnostic steps. Does unplugging the Wacom (and probably quitting the application/processes that are associated with it on the Mac) seem to make a difference? Try to reboot without the Wacom and then see if that works. If it does - are the drivers up to date for the Wacom tablet? Also, in your preferences on the General tab, do you have Use Gesture Based Navigation selected?

Also, is there a newer driver for your NVidia card that is available?

Thanks,

Ok, so after unhooking the Wacom Cintiq, quitting its application/processes and then rebooting Fusion seems to work fine and does not freeze. Thats great, however I would prefer to work on the Wacom & not have to disconnect everything each time to use Fusion if thats possible. My Wacom driver is up to date & I did not find there were any updates available for my NVidia card "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB". I do have Use Gesture Based Navigation selected, should I change that?

Thanks

Sorry for the late reply! I would leave Gesture Based Navigation off. One other thought I have is to completely uninstall the drivers for the Wacom tablet, and then reinstall them on your Mac. Let me check in with my team and see if they have a better understanding of what is causing this issue and a good workaround.

Thanks,
