Dear Community,

As a practice I wanted to create a simple skateboard. I modeled the board in Fusion and downloaded the part required for the truck from Grabcad. Those parts were made in Inventor.

As I joined the truck on one side completely, I wanted to mirror it to the other side of the board. The truck consists of 16 components, I select them all to mirror, then I select the mirror plane, and all seems good in the preview as well, but as I click OK, it misses some components from the mirrored truck, see video:

http://a360.co/2cZ0a5O

However I could resolve this by creating 1 component of all the components of the truck and mirror that, but I'm keen to know why it couldn't be carried out the old way.

Thanks for any help in advance,

Zoltan

When you window selected stuff in the viewport it did not select two of the linked components

Also for this sort of think it might be better to break the links to the external compoents unlell there are good reasons to maintain these links.

These look like standard, off-the-shelf purchased components and ther really is no need to maintain the link.

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your response, I rewatched the video and when I windowed the parts it seems indeed that the 2 wheel assembly components has not been selected. However if I drop down the pointer left of the assembly, all the components within the assembly are highlighted blue like the others, that means to me that all the componets are selected. As I count there are 16 components, and the selected compontents are also 16 (see the included screenshot):

So it should be working, but it still misses one wheel and 2 bearings.

When selecting the components (with window), as I manually select the two non-highlighted wheel assemblies, the mirror works fine. But why it is not selected when I use the window selection???

Also about breaking the links. I'm not a Fusion expert, could you please exlpain how this helps in this case? Or what are those links stand for?

Thanks,

Zoltan
