Why can't I patch this hole?? Something so simple??

At the end of the spoon neck is a hole. I can't patch it in patch mode nor can I put a loft to it. It's like the surfaces are corrupt?? I've included the file. Something like this should be extremely simple.. Explain..

Yes, @Anonymous, that looks like a bug. The geometry does not show problems in our internal checker, so the problem must be deeper than that. We will investigate.

Okay, that is good. The program does amazing things but also fails quite a bit at the most basic. It's hard for anyone learning this program to not understand the difference.. I hope you can resolve this. Thanks

Just in case it is helpful, if you're trying to convert the spoon into a solid body you can use the Model > Create > Boundary Fill command by select the surface body33 and Plane4.

I ran into many bugs that put me down the wrong path. I tried to cut the neck of the spoon in the beginning but was unable to. So I rebuilt it in patch mode. This caused a bug. I then just tried what you said to do but I imported that spoon into a new design with nothing in it and was able to cut the neck! Without the use of the boundary tool! More bugs! Anyways I thank you for your advice!

This bug has been identified and fixed in our development environment. It was actually a tolerance issue: The edges around that loop were just a little off. It doesn't appear to be a general issue, it is somewhat data specific. Anyway, the code has been fixed, and it will be released in an update soon. Thanks again for reporting this and supplying the design.
