I downloaded and installed Fusion360 and immediately from the start, I had problems with certain pop-ups and the main menu (with model, patch, render, etc). They show up totally empty/transparent or have a long delay before the info is displayed. The program isn't slow at all, everything else is super slick, and windows overall is as fast as usual. Except the windows task bar in the bottom, it's having problems with displaying things as well like the hidden icons tray is empty, the program icon highlights pop up super slow etc.

I was looking for solutions, and found nothing. Then while looking for a cause in Task Manager, I noticed my Desktop Window Manager having the highest RAM usage. I ended the task and voila! the problem was solved. Or that was what I thought, now still, regularly, while doing something in Fusion, I noice the popups coming up empty etc and have to end the DWM task every time manually. This is quite frustrating. This has never happened before with anything else (Adobe CC programs, Blender, any games). I haven't found out what causes the problem, as opening Fusion does not immediately trigger the DWM to behave weird. It just starts at a random moment and after I close DWM, it restarts itself as usual and runs normal.

My setup is a brand new Razer Blade 2016. Virus checks show up nothing (as I'd expect from a month old system) and the problems started with the installation of Fusion. I have reinstalled it, nothing changes.

System:
16 RAM
GTX970M 6GB Vram
i7 6700q
so Shouldn't be a hardware problem.

Hi @Anonymous,

It's got nothing to do with F360. Make sure that you windows is updated and your Display driver is also updated.

Well, the thing is, everything is updated and running just fine. Nothing
has made these problems surface, yet after the installation of f360 it
started to happen and it happens only with f360. Nothing else is triggering
the effect. I really like f360 so far, I hope I'll get it fixed. 🙂

F360 could be the trigger, not the problem. I had the same problem, but with a different application.

Try this: http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch001182.htm

I tried, with no luck, there's no Desktop Window manager in the services list, although it's running.

Are you using DXF import while in Fusion?

As I'm almost totally new to Fusion, I haven't imported anything yet, as
far as I know. I've just done basic modeling using the most basic tools.
I've tried to make it happen on purpose, but haven't found the triggering
tool or function yet. I have a strange feeling it has something to do with
my high dpi screen (3200 x 1800) and fusions scaling itself, which somehow
bugs the window manager.
But that's just a guess, I've tried disabling and enabling the "disable
high dpi scaling" under the compatibility modes for the .exe files etc.

My mistake, I forgot that you cannot stop this service in Windows 10!
It's a very tricky one, if you will search Google, you will see that you are not the first one with issue and that it can happen to other softwares as well.

I wish I remember what I did to fix it, but it never happen to me with Fusion 360.
