If this is a T-Spline only design, then the timeline is not going to do you much good.

T-Splines are direct modeling objects.

If you need to add parametric modeling features later on, you can still finish the T-Splines in direct modeling and then turn on the timeline when done or perhaps model the t-Splines in a seperate file and then import into a time line enabled design (and break the link).

When sculpting multiple bodies it can be difficult to understand the form when viewing only one object at a time. Anyone know of a way see everything with a solid shading without clicking finish form?

IF you turn off history you won't have to deal with that. That's why I never use history when I work with T-Splines.

Well that and 40 other reasons.....

@Anonymous

IT'S not possible unless the development team changes how it works in the software. Even if they do change it I refuse to work with T-Splines and history.

For one thing mixing the two really slows Fusion down.

It causes crashes when moving through the time line.

It slows your work by at least half the speed.

There is literally no reason to use the two together......I know someone will argue that point but I know better.

It cuts the amount of detail you can work with by at least 1/4.

All T-Splines have to be converted into a solid or surface anyway so no point in cluttering up an assembly with them.

It increases your file size a lot.

I could go on but you get the point.

Thanks for the feedback though and hopefully the developers are planning on making some updates to the usability in the sculpting mode.

@Anonymous

Simple solution for you do a file save as and give it a different name, turn off history and create your T-Spline finish it and convert it to a solid or a surface then import that into your assembly with history. Keeps your file size small, no crashing and you keep your history....best of both worlds.

Just because software gives you the ability to do something doesn't mean it's a good idea, but it also doesn't mean you can't work that way but in a safer, smarter way. Sometimes you just have to think outside the box to do what you need.

I prefer whenever possible to work as non destructively as possible to allow for future changes to be made easily without going back to a prior save. Thanks for the input though, I'll keep that method in mind if we ever experience crashes with the timeline.

@Anonymous

I must be missing something because the method I described to you keeps all your history with everything but the T-Spline.

Your T-Spline work doesn't have any history no matter what you do so there is no compromising.....

The method I described does exactly what your asking for....

The only drawback is your T-Spline work is done separately from your assembly file with history so you will have two files.
