I am having issues creating a smooth surface on the front of this model. The patches are tangent when created and so is the line work.

Does anyone have any tips on making sure you get smooth transitions between patches? I am new to fusion 360 but I have also used Inventor in the past.

@Anonymous

Can you share this model so we can look at what the problem might be?

No problem, you can access the model here:

http://a360.co/2dqg34L

The surface was built as two patches which were then mirrored to create the whole surface.

I have tried doing this without mirroring by modelling all the surfaces but they still aren't smooth.

@Anonymous

Sorry it took so long, but here is one solution.

This is a case that generates a degenerative patch and there is a way around that but it's a lot more work. So if you need that solution let me know.

I think for most people this is an acceptable solution.

Thank you that worked perfectly, the surfaces are beautifully smooth.
