&lt;P&gt;I can recommend you to&amp;nbsp;watch simulation&amp;nbsp;get started video and simulation tutorial to understand basics.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Deformation displayed by default is not the real deformation. It is adjusted deformation to be easily visible what and which way is deforming. In the Results panel find the Deformation Scale and set it to Actual to see the realistic deformation results.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Your second screen shot shows Displacement results. Switch results to Stress&amp;nbsp;to see what you expect.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;For your model I expect force and weight stress impact should be similar but not equal. There is Gravity load to handle model weight.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;I am not sure what you are looking for. If you want to test model your solution looks good. If you want to test centers you need to let them deform. You probably need to use Fixed constraint on cutted faces.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Jan,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am totally out of my depth with this part of the program so I have a lot of learning to do, there are a couple of things confusing me and perhaps you have the experience to help answer my questions.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;In the second attached screen shot there is deformity where the shafts connect to the roller, I would expect to see a heavy red colour in those areas as the shafts are nearly broken off completely.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The second issue is concerning weight and force, can they be viewed as the same stress on a component?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The way I am thinking about it is if I had an hydraulic press pressing down in the centre of the roller, that would be a direct force.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Whereas if it is a weight test the weight would be spread out over the entire length of the roller and cause a different stress on a component than the direct force would ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Craig&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thanks Jan you have been a great help, I do watch the videos but I find that I also learn just as much from asking questions and learning from people like yourself.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I made many mistakes but I think I have got to grips with it now because I tried something a lot simpler and was able to get consistent results&lt;/P&gt;</description>
