Move Component with Sketch

I'm trying to move a component with the sketch attached, so that I can copy / array around a circle. Everything seems to work fine, other than when I go to edit the sketch, it jumps back to the original point of origin where I created the sketch.

Is this supposed to work that way or am I missing a step? Ultimately, I would like to edit one (1) sketch so that ALL of the same components on my circle will update equally. Is that possible?

What I still can't figure out is why my sketch continues to jump back to 0,0,0 when I try to edit? If I recall, this might be happening because I actually created it there and is forever constrained? Where if I would have created the same sketch anywhere, other than at 0,0,0 my sketch would move accordingly? Is that accurate? Seems like when I create a sketch off the 0,0,0 I have more control over its location.

Unless I'm not understanding I don't think your rule mentions this.

Editing a sketch is like timetravel back to the time the sketch was first created.

If you moved the component after you created the sketch, then editing the sketch moves you back to that original location.
