Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting!

I'm not a graphic expert... but I'm aware that if you are using the windows 10, your system needs DirectX 12.
However Fusion 360 is based on Direct X 11 or 9. so if you have higher, it won't support on Fusion 360.

For your reference,
The Fusion 360 automatically switches to the appropriate graphics acceleration mode. If your graphics card (or rather its driver) shows display problems in a particular DirectX mode, you can switch your Fusion 360 to use a forced graphics mode DirectX 9 or DirectX 11.
Choose "Preferences" in the menu under your login name (upper right) and under the General tab switch (from the value "Auto-select") to the selected mode in the field "Graphics driver".

Windows:
Direct X 9 - most stable
Direct X 11 - newer and faster

Mac OS
Open GL - most stable
OpenGL Core - newert and faster

If I miss something, please let me know.

Many thanks!

Hey!

No need to worry, it's normal. I'm not sure why the version number doesn't match, but the DirectX version is normal. Even though you can run DirectX 12 on your system, Fusion is currently only programmed to interface with the DirectX 9 or 11 API's. Not sure how technical you may be, but it's like saying your computer has .NET 4.6 but Fusion needs .NET 3.5 (that's just and example, I don't know what version it needs). They are backwards compatible so if you have the latest version, you can run the previous version.

Hope that helps clarify everything for you!

Best,
Xander Luciano

Thanks to you both for your replies, I was not too worried about it as my main machine which has a super clocked card in it comes back as unknown driver date because it is not a stock card.

I mention these things because sometimes they lead to bigger issues.
