I've created a component under which sits a body. Great so far.

I now want to create another body that also sits under the component. I want to reference the geometry from the first body so I've created a construction plane. However, that plane and the subsequent body appear outside the component. I don't seem to be able to select where the body is created, Fusion just decides for itself.

How do I tell fusion that I want the construction plane and new body to be under the existing component?

Sorry, yes. I meant the browser hierarchy on the left. But I've sorted it now - somehow the component had become de-selected after re-loading an earlier version and I didn't realise.

You need o activate the component you want the body to appear in.

You can click the little radio button in the browser, to the right of the Component name, to do so. Or you can right-click on the component and select "Activate" from the menu.

You should do that every time you want to add objects (sketches, construction geometry etc.) to that component.
